Harvey Rothstein
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Harvey Rothstein serves as DavCo Restaurants, Inc's Chairman and CEO. Prior to being appointed Chairman and CEO, Harvey served as Sr. Executive Vice President of Development responsible for the appraisal, acquisition, and financing of real estate for the development of Wendy's brand in the company's exclusive territory. He also oversaw all construction activities. Mr. Rothstein joined the Company in August of 1979. With over 30 years of management service to DavCo he provides extensive knowledge and experience to guide the successful operation of the company. For six years prior to coming to DavCo, Mr. Rothstein was a principal of a real estate brokerage firm that specialized in the acquisition of sites for fast food companies, and served as Vice President of Rochester Fast Foods in Rochester, New York.
David J. Norman
President & General Counsel
David J. Norman is our President & General Counsel. He also served as Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of DavCo Operations. Mr. Norman joined us in 1997. Prior to joining our company, Mr. Norman was a partner in the law firm of Mason, Ketterman & Morgan. Mr. Norman currently also serves as chairman of the Maryland State Athletic Commission. Dave was recognized with his most recent promotion to President and General Counsel in December 2007.Richard H. Borchers
Executive Vice President, COO
Richard H. Borchers is the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer for DavCo Restaurants, Inc. Mr. Borchers has over 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Salisbury State College, Mr. Borchers joined a franchise of Arthur Treachers where he managed several restaurants. Mr. Borchers began his career in June 1977 as an Assistant Manager at DavCo and quickly moved up the ranks to General Manager. Within two years of joining the company he was promoted to the level of Area Manager. The company was growing at a very fast pace and with that growth came opportunity. In 1985, Mr. Borchers was promoted to Regional Manager overseeing 5 Area Managers in a 26-store market in Baltimore, MD. Twelve months later he was transferred to the Washington area to direct a 36 store market. In 1988, Mr. Borchers was promoted to Director of Human Resources and oversaw all aspects of HR and Training as well as Risk Management and Security. In 1997 Mr. Borchers was promoted to the level of Executive Vice President. In 2005, he was given additional responsibility as EVP of Administration. In October of 2006, Mr. Borchers was named EVP, Operations and in December 2007 named Chief Operating Officer.
Charles C. McGuire, III
Sr. Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Charles C. McGuire, III is a Senior Vice President, and the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for DavCo Restaurants, Inc. Mac, has over 28 years experience in the accounting and finance business. He is both a CPA and a CFP. After graduating with a degree in accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1979 he joined the public accounting firm of Ernst and Young. He spent seven years with them and rose to the position of Audit Manager. He then joined Ryland Homes as a divisional controller and later with the Kane Companies as their Corporate Controller. Mr. McGuire joined Crop Genetics International, a biotechnology company, as Director of Finance and was involved in raising capital through secondary (public) offerings. He was also responsible for their Investor Relations and Public Reporting functions. Mac joined DavCo Restaurants in January 1994, (shortly after their IPO in 1993). In 1996, he was promoted to Vice President of Finance and Treasurer where he oversees all aspects of the company’s reporting, accounting, and cash management functions. In 2006, he was promoted to Senior Vice President and in December 2007 to Chief Financial Officer.
Stacey Jackson
Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Deputy General Counsel
Stacey Jackson is DavCo’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Deputy General Counsel. She joined our team in 1997 as Director of the legal/risk department. A member of the Maryland and DC bars, Ms. Jackson has over 20 years of experience in employment and general tort litigation. A graduate of Swarthmore College and the University Of Maryland School Of Law, respectively, Ms. Jackson oversees DavCo’s legal, risk management, workers compensation and human resources departments. In her spare time, she is an advocate for children and youth.
Mohammad Haque
Sr. Vice President of Operations
Mohammad started working for DavCo in 1984 as a crew member because one of his friends had also gotten a job there. Mohammad’s “willing to learn” attitude came to the attention of his supervisors and he was quickly moved up the ladder to Crew Chief, Certified Shift Supervisor, and into the salaried Management program. In 1989 Mohammad was promoted to General Manager. Within 5 years Mohammad was promoted again to Area Manager. At each level Mohammad was able to maximize the operations and increase sales, whether at one restaurant or an entire area. He was the first District Manager to have all 7 stores “Sparkle” certified. Mohammad’s efforts at people development and operational excellence were rewarded in 1997 with a promotion to Regional Manager, responsible for 36 restaurants and 6 AM’s. From 1998-2005 Mohammad was recognized as the Regional Manager of the year after ending the year with the highest regional sales for a year in the history of the company. In December 2006, Mohammad was promoted to the Director of Area Operations for the Northern Virginia market supervising 6 District Managers and 51 restaurants and then Division Vice President in 2006.
Mohammad’s performance earned him his latest promotion in 2007 to Sr. Vice President of Operations, responsible for the entire operations of the three (3) Divisions of DavCo.
John Schmidt
Division Vice President for the Baltimore and Eastern Shore Markets
John has been with DavCo for almost 8 years, but has been in the food service industry for over 30 years. He started out at a Wendy’s Franchise called Susquehanna Foods in the late 70’s working his way up from a manager in training. After Wendy’s International acquired the franchise, John worked his way up from Assistant Manager to District Manager. John has the distinction of being a National Sparkle Winner, a Divisional Sparkle Winner, and winner of the prestigious Dave Thomas MBA award. Since joining the Davco Family, John has received over 20 awards ranging from improving profits, increasing sales, training, lowest turnover, and was awarded Divisional Team Leader of the Year two times. In 2006 John was promoted to Senior Manager of Special Projects and worked on several projects dealing with cost control and profit enhancement. In 2007 John was promoted to Division Vice President for the Baltimore and Eastern Shore Markets supervising 8 District Managers and 56 Restaurants.
Les Pollitt
Division Vice President for the Washington Market
Les has been in the restaurant business for over 35 years, starting with McDonald’s as an Assistant Manager and spending 11 years in the Rustler division of Gino’s. In June of 1983 Les joined DavCo, where he started as a Co-Manager and within 7 months was promoted to General Manager. Les earned a promotion to Area Manager in October of 1984. Les spent 18 years as an Area Manager, supervising restaurants in Anne Arundel, Howard, and Prince George's counties as well as the District of Columbia. In April 2002 Les was promoted to Regional Manager of the Washington Metro market. Les was recognized for his efforts in moving the region forward when he was chosen as the Regional Manager of the Year in 2003. In 2005 he was promoted to Director of Area Operations and then to Division Vice President in 2006.
Les is now the Division Vice President for the Washington market with 7 District Managers and 58 restaurants.
Maruful Islam
Division Vice President for the Northern Virginia Market
Maruful began his career at DavCo in September of 1998. His leadership and motivation quickly earned him a promotion to District Manager in May of 1999. During his time as District Manager, he has, on multiple occasions, assumed responsibility for more than one district. During Fiscal 2007, Maruful ran two districts totaling 14 stores, for the entire year. He was also selected as the Team Leader for two consecutive years by his peers in the Haque Division. Two of Maruful’s stores won the North Region of Wendy’s annual Sparkle Contest in 2005-and 2006. Maruful’s strong operations knowledge, leadership, and results oriented approach earned him his most recent, December 2007, promotion to Division Vice President for the Northern Virginia market supervising 6 District Managers and 50+ restaurants.
